This site has been in my back pocket since I got my driver’s license and by now I’ve used it more times than I can count. Freecampsites.net is an open forum where people can find and record free places to sleep. These range from primitive mountain top sites to friendly Walmarts (yes, there are un-friendly ones too). If you think you’ve found a cool spot, remember to check the comments before you go (make sure they’re recent and absent of red flags) and always have a back-up spot or two. Have fun!!
